Pedagogy & Theatre of the Oppressed

So, I am pleased to be traveling to this year's PTO conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota and anxious as I pack for my early morning flight. Liberated Muse members of the Saartjie Project will be in attendance, set to perform on Saturday during the conference which begins today until Sunday.

PTO stands for Pedagogy & Theatre of the Oppressed and is an organization of activists, performers and other individuals dedicated to using the arts as a vehicle of social & political transformation. The annual conference typically attracts activist/artists from around the world.

I can't wait to check out workshops from choreographers Dr. Ananya Chatterjea and Marc Bamuthi Joseph and poetry workshops by the DMV's own Sage Morgan Hubbard.
