LiberatedMuse.com Leaves Ning August 20

Well, we are on the final countdown to our last day as a social network. The last day is August 20. Our time together has been fun and stay connected to us on Facebook and Twitter. Our web address www.LiberatedMuse.com will be our current blogspot blog until we release a new network in 2011 that will be an exclusive artist collective space for invited artists in the literary, performance and visual arts. Interested in joining our collective? Shoot us a letter of interest at LiberatedMuseProductions@gmail.com. We will continue to post opportunities, call for submissions, etc. on our Facebook page that is linked to Twitter.

Liberated Muse Arts Group is a collective of performers, writers, singers, actors and visual artists who gather to transform spaces into art places.

In 2008, the digital community LiberatedMuse.com was born, connecting creatives from around the globe to discuss, collaborate and fellowship. Hundreds have connected through the online portal, beginning meaningful relationships leading to further creative collaborations and ongoing partnerships. Liberated Muse Productions (2008-2010) produced the annual Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest held in Washington DC’s Marvin Gaye Park for three years and after the dissolution of Liberated Muse Productions, Liberated Muse Arts Group became the new name of the umbrella of services in 2011, producing events and theatrical productions throughout the Washington DC metro area.

The aim of Liberated Muse Arts Group is to continuously challenge the notion of an “arts space” by programming in spaces that are not traditionally considered popular art spaces while continuing to use traditional spaces as a balance. We wholeheartedly support artist-owned and community-based venues that connects arts programming to populations that typically don’t have access to professional, high-quality artistry.
