Sexy New Soap Opera with All Black Cast Takes Place in DC's Historic Anacostia District

During this upcoming Labor Day weekend, on Sept. 3, the web series Anacostia will debut online. The show, set in the historic Anacostia neighborhood in southeast DC, features a ensemble cast which includes Wil "Onix" Lash from the VH-1 reality show "I Love New York" and R & B singer Tia Dae. Produced by DC native Anthony Anderson, the series is set to rival prime-time soap operas Gossip Girl and Melrose Place in its presentation of sexy mayhem and mischief . Read More Here...

Liberated Muse Productions (2008-2010) produced the annual Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest held in Washington DC’s Marvin Gaye Park for three years and after the dissolution of Liberated Muse Productions, Liberated Muse Arts Group became the new name of the umbrella of services in 2011, producing events and theatrical productions throughout the Washington DC metro area.

The aim of Liberated Muse Arts Group is to continuously challenge the notion of an “arts space” by programming in spaces that are not traditionally considered popular art spaces while continuing to use traditional spaces as a balance. We wholeheartedly support artist-owned and community-based venues that connects arts programming to populations that typically don’t have access to professional, high-quality artistry.
